Sharon Ann Leal was born in Arizona, US. The first years of her life were spent predominantly in the Philippines. Her family moved to California following her birth however she spent her early stages throughout her time within the Philippines. As a teenager she started performing in local theatre groups' stage shows. In 1993, she began working with a voice trainer Seth Riggs through a vocal grant. Presently, she is in a relationship with director-choreographer Paul Becker.
