Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally referred to as Andra day is an American R&B musician and singer. The Grammy Award, Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award are among the many accolades she has been awarded. The singer was also considered for nominations to an Academy Award. Andra Day is a powerful singer and artful songwriter who is not just a throwback R&B specialist. Her roots are in gospel music and blues displayed with ease and grace are carried into the current. With her debut, Cheers to The Fall (2015) she climbed in to the Top Ten R&B/hip hop charts as well as securing a few Grammy acknowledgements. In 2017, her work on Marshall's music was recognized with the Academy Award. Andra, born Cassandra Monique Batie of Edmonds Washington was the resident of San Diego and metropolitan San Diego where she was a student and sang at her church. She switched her attention towards modern R&B to pop after graduating, but eventually was attracted back to the soul and jazz artists she listened to when she was a kid. Kai Millard Morris caught her performance and gave some of Day's music to Stevie Wonder. The Motown legend linked Day to the music industry's experienced Adrian Gurvitz. In partnership together with Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans' Buskin label Day built up a YouTube following and eventually signed to major label Warner Bros. n 2012 Day made her debut track Forever Mine on YouTube. This song was immediately taken up and played in radio stations by a variety of DJs. After that, she signed with Warner Bros. Records and began work with the producer Adrian Gurvitz on the album that she released as her debut, Cheers to the Autumn (2015). The album included the track Rise up, which was adopted as a anthem for groups for social justice across the world. Day was nominated for two Grammy Awards including Best R&B Album. In the year 2019, she released her second album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album on the life of the legendary jazz singer. The United States Versus Billie Holiday is a biographie of Holiday and was released that same year. Andi Mathichak was born America. She started her career on the television series Orange Is the New Black, 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her film debut was when she appeared as Allyson in the series of horror Halloween. Andi Mattichak was born the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
